Island from Cariaggi is pure cashmere spun as a 3-ply fingering weight with the characteristic softness and developing halo. At 433 metres per 100g, it suits 4mm needles for about 22 stitches per 10cm. A pullover needs roughly 300-350g. Machine knitters can use standard 5gg single end, but wash your swatch first as the yarn ships with spinning oil and blooms significantly once cleaned.
